Attempt to extinguish with hose: four people in hospital
The Floriani firefighters had to deploy to a dicey operation in Pfunds (Landeck district) in Tyrol on Tuesday! The garage of a farm building was on fire. The attempt to extinguish the fire with a hose failed. Four people were taken to hospital for checks.
A fire broke out in a locked garage of a farm building at around 4.35 pm. The owner initially tried to extinguish the fire with a water hose. However, as this was unsuccessful, he alerted the fire department. They quickly brought the fire under control and prevented it from spreading to the building and the floors above.

The operation lasted a good two hours before the fire was declared out. The four by six meter garage burned out completely. Four people were taken to Zams hospital for check-ups.
The building itself suffered considerable damage and had to be closed off due to the damage. It is still unclear what caused the fire. Further investigations are underway.
