Thomas Gottschalk is officially divorced
Thomas and Thea Gottschalk are divorced. The German entertainer confirmed a corresponding report in the "Bild" newspaper. According to the report, Gottschalk (73) and his wife of many years divorced on Tuesday at the local court in Munich.
They met at a medical ball in Munich in 1972 and married four years later. The TV legend told the German Boulvardblatt: "Thea and I are divorced by mutual consent and legally binding. We ask that you refrain from donating wreaths and flowers. We've been separated for five years, so you really can't say that we rushed things."
In March 2019, it was announced that the former "Wetten, dass...?" presenter had separated from his wife Thea after almost half a century. In the same year, he introduced Karina Mroß as his new girlfriend. It was recently announced that the couple would be moving from Baden-Baden in Baden-Württemberg to Gräfelfing, southwest of Munich.
