German woman with panic attack brought down from mountain in Tyrol

A hike in Tyrol ended in hospital for a German woman (26) on Sunday! The woman panicked 50 meters below the summit. Her friend immediately called the emergency services. The 26-year-old was then flown to hospital.

Together with her boyfriend, the German woman went on a hike to the 1841-metre-high Tauern in the municipality of Breitenwang (Reutte district) on Sunday. Immediately after the descent, around 50 meters below the summit, the 26-year-old suffered a medical emergency, according to the police.

 Hiker airlifted to hospital
"The woman panicked and was unable to continue her descent", according to the police. The hiker was first treated by the emergency helicopter team and flown to the hospital in Reutte for further treatment.
