Andy Heraf experienced “disgusting” minutes in Altach
Lustenau coach Andy Heraf witnessed the 0:1 defeat of Altach live in the Cashpoint Arena. With the Rheindörfler's defeat, his team still has a chance of staying in the league. Now Heraf is hoping for sporting fairness from WSG Tirol.
Andreas Heraf experienced what was probably the longest 95 minutes of his life in Altach. That's how long it took for referee Stefan Ebner to blow the final whistle and seal a narrow WAC victory. "That was really disgusting, the time just didn't pass," said the Lustenau coach, delighted with the result.
His team, who watched the game together in front of the screen, can therefore continue to hope for relegation. "But not much has changed for us. We are still not in a good position. Now there are just two final games instead of four," Heraf says, referring to the current situation. "If we don't win against BW Linz, we don't deserve it anyway. We're just a passenger in the rest anyway."
The hope is that WSG Tirol, for whom nothing is at stake, will take the game against Altach seriously. Heraf is convinced of this because the players want to earn points bonuses before their vacation. And the ambition of outgoing coach Thomas Silberberger is unbroken anyway. "I want to finish ninth and not eleventh." In other words, win against Altach at all costs.
