Duck family visits platoon commander

This duck family probably wanted to say a quick "hello" to the platoon commander of the Eisenstadt city fire department.(Bild: Stadtfeuerwehr Eisenstadt)

The platoon commander of the Eisenstadt city fire department, Bernd Palham, was called out on a particularly heartfelt mission. A family of ducks had strayed into his driveway. 

The fluffy little animals were caught very carefully by a small rescue team. Then it was off to the castle park to the machine pond, where the firefighters very gently put mom and chicks back into the water. Quacking gratefully, the little family immediately made off again.

Such missions are something for the heart. There was hardly a comrade who didn't have a smile on their face when they held one of these little fluffballs!
