Cell phones stolen and money withdrawn: Thieves wanted
Because they spied on other people's cell phone data and then stole the devices from the victims, two as yet unknown perpetrators are being sought for serious commercial theft in Tyrol. The strangers struck in nightclubs and discotheques. The police are now looking for witnesses.
The police are looking for the two previously unknown perpetrators for aggravated commercial theft by burglary. The two serial offenders are believed to have observed guests in nightclubs and discotheques in exclusive winter sports resorts in Tyrol, such as Ischgl and Kitzbühel, between mid-January and the beginning of March. Their victims are believed to have used a cell phone payment function to settle their drinks bills.

The perpetrators spied on the data, then stole the phones from their victims' trouser pockets and used them to make numerous transfers. They also withdrew money from ATMs and made payments in restaurants and stores.
The Provincial Criminal Police Office is now searching for the two thieves. Employees of accommodation establishments and witnesses are asked to report this.
