Crystal Palace – Manchester United LIVE from 9pm
Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace celebrated a brilliant home win against Manchester United. The "Eagles" won 4:0 on Monday evening, taking all three points in their second clash of the season with the currently struggling English record champions. Palace had never managed this before. The London club remain 14th in the table, while United are eighth.
At Selhurst Park, the Red Devils' coach Erik ten Hag had to do without Bruno Fernandes and a whole squad of defensive players due to injury. Casemiro therefore helped out in central defense. The Brazilian initiated the 0:1 in the 12th minute with an overly risky tackle. Michael Olise was able to finish with ease.
Casemiro's supposed equalizer for the visitors was disallowed due to a foul by Rasmus Höjlund, but Jean-Philippe Mateta (40) made it 2-0 before the break. The Frenchman made United's Jonny Evans look like an extra.
Bad luck for Casemiro
Casemiro scored again after the break, but this time he was offside. Tyrick Mitchell (58) and Olise again (66) then completed the embarrassment for United, who have won just one of their last seven league games. The 20-time champions have already lost 13 games this season.
