Two-year-old secretly made a trip to the surrounding area

The adventurous spirit of a two-year-old in Mondsee came to a happy end on Wednesday. The boy had been out exploring the neighborhood unnoticed by his parents. The toddler was only found after two hours. Fortunately, he was in good health and had survived the excursion unscathed.

The father and mother had been in the garden of their house in Mondsee with their four children, aged between two and 13, when the youngest suddenly disappeared at around 2.15 pm. Their search was initially unsuccessful and the parents and eldest daughter were unable to find the two-year-old in the neighboring gardens. The police were then called at 2.51 pm.

Four police patrols immediately searched for the little boy. At 3.15 p.m., the parents received the relieving news: the 13-year-old sister and a patrol were finally able to spot the runaway 200 meters from the house. The little boy was neither distressed nor injured. He must have enjoyed his adventure. The hugs from the relieved parents and siblings were almost endless.
