34-year-old in mortal danger after being stabbed in the stomach

During an argument on Wednesday night, a Slovakian man was critically injured in the city center of Linz: His 21-year-old opponent stabbed him in the stomach with a 20-centimeter-long knife. Although the knifeman fled the scene, he was found and arrested shortly afterwards.

An argument in the center of Linz escalated bloodily at around 4 a.m. on Wednesday: A 34-year-old Slovakian was attacked with a knife by a 21-year-old from Linz. The latter stabbed the 20-centimeter-long blade into the victim's stomach, inflicting life-threatening injuries.

Short escape
Although the man from Linz initially fled the scene, he was soon arrested by a police patrol and the murder weapon was also seized. He was taken to the police detention center. The 34-year-old was taken to the Kepler Clinic in Linz in a critical condition.
