Car ends up in the stream bed in Reutte after rollover
Strange accident on Tuesday evening in Reutte! Due to a mistake, a 52-year-old woman drove her rental car over a gravel path and then crashed into a stream bed. The car came to rest on its roof. The driver was seriously injured.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, shortly before 7 pm. A 52-year-old Chinese woman had driven away from a gravel parking lot in Reutte in her rental car. As she thought she was on the road to the Fernpass road, the woman drove on there and ended up in a dead end.
She drove the vehicle, which also contained her 23-year-old daughter, too far to the left and crashed into the bed of the Klausenbach stream. A passer-by noticed the accident and rushed to help the two women.
Driver was injured
The 52-year-old driver suffered serious injuries to her left hand as a result of the accident and was taken to hospital in Reutte by ambulance. Fortunately, her daughter was uninjured. The vehicle sustained considerable material damage.
The Reutte volunteer fire department was deployed with three vehicles and 19 firefighters. They helped the towing company to recover the car and set up an oil barrier in the stream.
