More than 100,000 extra tickets now on sale
The European Football Union UEFA is making a large contingent of tickets available a good six weeks before the start of the European Championship in Germany. From 11 a.m. on Thursday, more than 100,000 tickets for various matches can be purchased via the official ticket platform. This was announced by UEFA on Tuesday.
The number of tickets available varies from match to match. After several draws, fans can now buy tickets directly.
Where do the tickets come from?
The additional tranche was made possible by three factors. Firstly, tickets that were already on offer in March and April via the official resale platform. The finalization of the seating plans in the stadiums has also been completed, which has created additional seats. According to UEFA, there will also be a considerable number of discounted tickets for seats with restricted access.
A total of 2.7 million tickets were available before the first sales phase last year.
