6:1 gala goal in Itzling bore Teufel’s signature
Every week again. It doesn't get much tighter than this in the 1st Landesliga. There was only one win at the weekend in the seven-team title race. But it was a tough one.
Despite unrest and a change of coach just before the start of spring, ASV Salzburg are getting back on track. Although they went 1-0 down early on against Schwarzach, they then went on a scoring spree - 6:1! "The button has finally opened," said Robert Neureiter, breathing a sigh of relief. He still knows about the pitfalls of the Salzburg league from the previous year, but would still take promotion with him.
The decisive factor for him: after a form crisis, interim coach Teufl ordered attacking weapon Dedovic to the front line. He rewarded him with two goals. Also outstanding: Viktor Vasas. Hungaro, who lives in Bad Reichenhall, came from Hammerau near the border in the summer with a torn cruciate ligament. "He's the strongest every time now," says Neureiter enthusiastically. His conclusion: "A nice round for us!"
The next hit is coming up
It won't get any easier now, of course. On Friday, the Itzlingers will host Neumarkt, who are level on points with former coach Bojceski and ATSV Salzburg, who were held to a 0-0 draw in their reunion. Both are one point behind leaders Bergheim, who drew 1-1 in stoppage time against Pfarrwerfen.
1st Landesliga, 20th round: Bergheim - Pfarrwerfen 1:1 (1:0), Hallwang - Tamsweg 0:2 (0:1), Neumarkt - ATSV Salzburg 0:0, Anthering - Berndorf 2:2 (0:0), Bad Hofgastein - Kaprun 3:1 (1:0), ASV Salzburg - Schwarzach 6:1 (2:1), Altenmarkt - Mühlbach/Pzg. 3:1 (1:1).
