Paris Saint-Germain are French champions!
A defeat by rivals AS Monaco has given Paris Saint-Germain their twelfth title in the French Ligue 1. Coach Adi Hütter's team would have had to win at Olympique Lyon to still have a mathematical chance of winning the championship, but lost 3-2.
PSG, who drew 3-3 against Le Havre on Saturday, were therefore able to celebrate on Sunday. Monaco can no longer make up twelve points in the remaining three rounds.
Monaco, who had won four in a row recently, took the lead in the first minute through Wissam Ben Yedder, but Lyon turned the game around thanks to goals from veteran Alexandre Lacazette (22) and Mohamed Benrahma by the 26th minute. Ben Yedder struck again in the 60th minute and only supposedly in the 79th minute. This goal was disallowed for offside. Malick Fofana (84) finally scored Lyon's winner.
