Police pulled a small truck that was far too heavy out of traffic

During heavy traffic checks on the Inntal highway in Tyrol on Friday, the Tyrolean police pulled over a driver who had loaded his small truck more than half too heavily. This has now resulted in a charge. 

The small truck that the police checked at around 8 a.m. on Friday near Tulfes (Innsbruck-Land district) actually has a permissible total weight of 3,500 kilograms. However, after deducting the tolerance, the officers weighed a total of 5450 kilograms - an excess of 55 percent or 1950 kilograms. The rear axle of the van alone was overloaded by 83 percent (1750 kilograms).

The driver of the van was banned from continuing his journey. He will now be reported to the BH in Innsbruck.
