Driver (19) overtired: Head-on crash in the Zillertal
A terrible traffic accident on Friday morning in the Tyrolean Zillertal: a 19-year-old local man drove his car into the oncoming lane and crashed head-on into the car of a woman (23). Both drivers suffered serious injuries. The vehicles were totaled.

The 19-year-old was driving his car out of the valley on the B169 Zillertalstraße when, according to his own statements, he lost control of the car due to fatigue and drove into the oncoming lane.
Both drivers injured in the collision
"There he collided head-on with the oncoming car of a 23-year-old Austrian woman", according to the police. Both drivers were injured by the force of the collision. After first aid, the young man was taken by ambulance to Kufstein Hospital and the woman to Schwaz Hospital.
Federal highway closed for one and a half hours
Both vehicles were totaled. The B169 was closed to all traffic in the area of the accident for the duration of the accident investigation and clean-up work until 6.45 am. A local detour was set up.
