Real Madrid have taken another big step towards their 36th Spanish soccer championship title! 

The "royals", who are clearly top of the table, won 1:0 at Real Sociedad on Friday evening at the start of the 33rd round thanks to a goal from Arda Güler (29th) and thus increased their lead over their closest rivals FC Barcelona to 14 points for the time being.

The Catalans do not face Valencia at home until Monday.

It was the sixth league win in a row for the Madrilenians, who were still without injured ÖFB star David Alaba.
