Mourning for librarian
“Gefragt – Gejagt” star Klaus Otto Nagorsnik dead
It was with great sadness and dismay that ARD announced the death of Klaus Otto Nagorsnik. The popular "hunter" from the quiz show "Gefragt - Gejagt" passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday at the age of 68.
"Our librarian helped shape 'Gefragt - Gejagt' for many years," said ARD coordinator Frank Beckmann, deeply saddened. "We owe him countless exciting and entertaining evenings. The audience loved him."
Favorite of the audience
Since 2014, Nagorsnik, whose nickname on the show was based on his profession, was one of the "hunters" who competed against teams of candidates on the quiz show. With his extensive knowledge, keen perception and dry sense of humor, he delighted viewers and quickly became an audience favorite.
Quiz ace and passionate reader
"With Klaus Otto Nagorsnik, we are losing a role model of authenticity, education and joie de vivre," said presenter Alexander Bommes. "I admired him and enjoyed playing and joking with him immensely. The hunt will continue for him too."
Nagorsnik, who worked as a librarian in the Münster public library until his retirement, was not only a quiz ace, but also a passionate reader and committed citizen. He will be remembered fondly by his friends, colleagues and the entire "Gefragt - Gejagt" family.
The already produced episodes of the new season of "Gefragt - Gejagt" with Klaus Otto Nagorsnik will be broadcast in his memory from May 13 onwards.
