Moped stolen after consuming alcohol and drugs
Late on Monday evening, police officers in Villach stopped a 19-year-old driver of a moped because he was riding without his lights on. They carried out a driver and vehicle check, which not only revealed that the moped had been stolen.
During a voluntary search, Extacy tablets, a small amount of cannabis and drug paraphernalia were found and seized. "The 19-year-old admitted to having consumed cocaine and alcohol shortly beforehand. He was taken for a medical examination," said the police.
Stolen moped
In the course of the investigation, the young man stated that he had stolen the moped near Lind elementary school. "He knows the owner of this vehicle, another 19-year-old from Villach. After a license plate query, it was determined that the license plate attached to the moped had also been stolen."
The Villach man also stated that he had already stolen the license plate about a month ago in Villach in the area of the train station at the moped parking lot. He was reported to the police.
