Car overturns: drunk driver ends up in a stream
Spectacular traffic accident on Saturday morning in Aldrans in the Tyrolean district of Innsbruck-Land: a 28-year-old local man lost control of his car and left the road. The car overturned and ended up in a stream. According to the police, the driver was drunk.
The accident happened at around 6.15 am. The 28-year-old local man was driving his car on the L32 coming from Innsbruck in the direction of Aldrans when, according to the police, he lost control on a right-hand bend. The vehicle skidded, entered the oncoming lane and finally left the road.
The driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own and walk back over the slope to the main road.

"The car rolled over once and then came to a standstill on its wheels in the bed of the Aldrans stream. The driver was able to leave the vehicle on his own and walk back down the slope to the main road," said the investigators.
Driver heavily intoxicated
After first aid at the scene, the driver was taken to the Innsbruck hospital by ambulance. A breathalyzer test carried out on him was positive. The 28-year-old will be reported to the police.
Near-crash with another car
As it turned out, another driver had had to avoid the car involved in the accident, which was apparently traveling too fast. The 41-year-old escaped with a scare.
