Romanian small truck was overloaded by 2.1 tons
A proverbial big fish was caught by the police during checks in Kundl in Tyrol on Saturday morning. A small Romanian truck was overloaded by no less than 2.1 tons. The driver (29) was banned from continuing his journey. Charges followed.
In the course of the check, officers from the Tyrolean provincial traffic department took a closer look at the small truck with a maximum permissible total weight of 3.5 tons. The police found that the vehicle was overloaded by 2100 kilograms or 60 percent.
Charges for driver and license holder
"The 29-year-old Romanian driver was prohibited from continuing his journey. A corresponding reloading was arranged," reported the police. A security deposit was collected from the driver. The Romanian and the owner of the registration will be charged.
The small truck was taken out of circulation shortly before 10 a.m. on the Inntal highway at the Kundl checkpoint.
