Police catch trio smoking cannabis

Witnesses informed the police that cannabis was being consumed in the Burgfried district of Hallein. There, the police encountered three young men (18, 19 and 24) who initially denied using the drug.

After a brief denial, however, they admitted to smoking a cannabis joint, according to the police report. During an investigation, police officers also found small amounts of cocaine and narcotics paraphernalia. The officers also seized a switchblade knife. 

In the subsequent police interrogation, the trio admitted to regular cannabis use. All three will be charged.
