You can only feel sorry for the Rapid goalie! Niklas Hedl kept a clean sheet for 78 minutes in the Bundesliga match against Sturm Graz on Friday evening before making a fatal mistake. The whole thing happened in front of ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick. 

What had happened? Amady Camara's high pass to Mika Biereth had missed its target and the ball rolled straight into Hedl's hands. From there, however, the leather rebounded directly and rolled to Biereth's feet, who netted with ease. The scorer's fair gesture as he patted the goalkeeper on the shoulder must have been little consolation for Hedl.

Hedl had only recently been dropped from the Austrian national team squad following the homophobia scandal in the aftermath of the Vienna derby. With his mega blunder, the 23-year-old did not exactly give spectator Rangnick an argument to reconsider his decision.
