A safe start in road traffic

For many people, passing their driving test is one of the most important moments in their lives. But even after that, you stay in training: car drivers have 3-9 months after passing their driving test to complete the mandatory driving safety training, motorcyclists 2-12 months. 

The training courses at ÖAMTC Fahrtechnik are carried out according to the motto "learning through experience", because each participant drives themselves, there are no co-drivers. If you don't have your own vehicle, you can hire a modern rental vehicle for a small fee.

"It is crucial for new drivers to experience critical driving situations as part of driver safety training and to recognize how important speed and attention are for safety on the road. Our spacious slopes with water obstacles and skid plates make this experience possible in a safe environment," explains Karl-Martin Studener, Managing Director of ÖAMTC Fahrtechnik.

Perfect conditions
In the one-day driving safety training course for the B driving license, emergency braking and evasive manoeuvres, cornering and correct behaviour in a skidding car are trained. Automated watering systems, sliding surfaces, computer-controlled water obstacles and electronic speed measurement systems ensure optimum training conditions.

In the one-day driving safety training course for motorcyclists, experienced instructors teach slalom driving, steering and vision techniques, braking exercises, handling training and evasive maneuvers. And all this on asphalt with good grip, wide-open tracks and without oncoming traffic. After a further two months, the perfection motorcycle ride can be completed. This is a guided ride in a small group on selected motorcycle routes. Further information and booking options can be found HERE. 

Motorcycle upgrade practice

In order to be allowed to drive a higher motorcycle class, there is another option in addition to the practical driving test at a driving school. With seven hours of driving training, without a test, you can, for example, acquire the upgrade practice from A1 to A2 or from A2 to A at ÖAMTC Fahrtechnik. A motorcycle of the next higher class is available free of charge.

The training includes riding exercises in the center as well as a guided ride on beautiful motorcycle routes.
