Fourth title beckons
Crazy CL thriller: Alaba freaks out in front of the TV set
After Real Madrid's progression to the Champions League semi-finals, David Alaba couldn't contain his excitement. The Austrian international, who is currently in rehab after tearing his cruciate ligament, cheered along with his team-mates in front of the TV.
What a thrilling thriller! In the penalty shoot-out, Real's Luka Modric failed first, but then Bernardo Silva and Mateo Kovacic missed for City - and Alaba's buddy Antonio Rüdiger sank the decisive penalty. "Yay! Jaaaaa", the Austrian, who was watching the game on TV, flipped out with joy - see the video here:
The "royals" are thus once again in the semi-finals of the Champions League. FC Bayern Munich, Alaba's former club of all teams, awaits them there.
Fourth strike?
However, the Viennese will also miss these duels, as Alaba is currently in rehab after tearing his cruciate ligament. If Real Madrid win the "premier class", it would be the 31-year-old's fourth title. Alaba triumphed with Bayern in 2013 and 2020 and won with the Spaniards in 2022.
