Another rollercoaster for the Eisbullen
After the 4:1 coup in Salzburg on Tuesday, the KAC believe they have the momentum for the final. Eisbullen forward Paul Huber clearly disagrees. Coach Oliver David piles deep: "We are underdogs."
Celebrations for champions rarely take place - as the Eisbullen proved once again on Tuesday evening. The KAC had already led by two goals after three minutes, but Salzburg were ultimately unable to close the gap. After the 1:4 in game six, there was lamentation instead of jubilation.
But the team from Mozart's hometown doesn't have much time to mourn the championship party. Tom Raffl and Co. spent most of yesterday's Wednesday off regenerating, and today it's back on the ice. Chay Genoway and Tyler Lewington are also looking pretty good. The latter took a puck to the face against the Red Jackets and did not return.

The KAC, on the other hand, is back in full swing. They believe that Fortuna is on their side after the coup in the Eisarena. Coach Kirk Furey is astonished: "The momentum has changed so often in this final series. it's unbelievable." A look at the statistics confirms this rollercoaster ride. For only the second time in the entire duel, the team that scored the first goal won the game.
Does the KAC now have a slight edge from the Eisbullen's point of view? Striker Paul Huber vehemently shakes his head. "I don't think so. We're good in game seven and we're also strong away from home. I think the momentum is even on our side." His head coach Oliver David stacks the deck very low and clearly assigns the role of favorite to the opponent. "People have told me that we've been the underdogs the whole postseason.
