Microsoft invests in Arab AI company G42

According to a media report, the US technology giant Microsoft intends to invest 1.5 billion dollars (1.4 billion euros) in the Arab AI company G42. Microsoft President Brad Smith will take a seat on the board of G42, the New York Times reported on Tuesday.

Microsoft's cloud services and conclude a security agreement following talks with the US government.

This provides for a series of protective measures for the AI products shared with G42 and includes removing Chinese equipment from G42's operations.

Due to US concerns, G42, which is based in the United Arab Emirates, has been withdrawing Chinese hardware from the company for some time. Microsoft and G42 were initially unavailable for comment.
