Driver's license gone

Speeding driver (63) sped through East Tyrol at 162 km/h

Police stopped a speeding driver in East Tyrol on Sunday afternoon. A 63-year-old was driving 62 km/h too fast on the Felbertauernstraße in St. Johann im Walde. The speeding driver has now lost his license.

At around 3 p.m., a patrol from the Matrei police station in East Tyrol carried out speed measurements on the Felbertauernstraße in St. Johann im Walde. A car was measured at a speed of 162 km/h despite the 100 km/h limit.

Driver will be reported
"The car was stopped by another police patrol in Matrei in East Tyrol," said the police. The 63-year-old driver's license was confiscated on the spot. He will be reported to the district authority.
