47-year-old hits her head on the asphalt in a fall

Serious cycling accident on Sunday morning in the Tyrolean Zillertal: due to a riding error, a 47-year-old woman crashed her e-bike and hit her head on the asphalt. The woman, who was not wearing a helmet, sustained serious injuries.

The 47-year-old local woman was on an e-bike tour in the Zillertal on Sunday together with her husband, who is the same age. "At around 11 a.m., the woman, who was not wearing a bike helmet, crashed on the Distelbergstraße in the municipality of Stumm due to a riding error and hit her head on the asphalt," said the police.

Taken to hospital with injuries
The e-bike rider suffered serious injuries in the fall and had to be taken to the district hospital in Schwaz by the ambulance service, according to the police.
