Three operations at the same time: fires and lift opening

Are the fire department's clocks wrong? Some people in Klagenfurt must have wondered this on Saturday, as the sirens blared a few minutes before 12 noon. But, of course, there was a reason for this: three calls had to be dealt with at the same time.

The professional fire department, the Kalvarienberg fire brigade and the Wölfnitz fire brigade were called out to a forest fire on Falkenberg at 11.51 am.

At the same time, another fire department team was needed to open an elevator in which a person was trapped. There was also a fire alarm in an apartment. 

The "fire out" signal was given at around 2.30 p.m., but extinguishing work in the forest is still pending.
