Teenagers beat victim (15) into hospital
Two boys aged just twelve and 14 threatened and robbed a total of five children and teenagers with a knife in Vienna on Friday evening. They hit one of their victims so hard that the boy had to be treated in hospital.
At around 9.15 pm, the two Syrians attacked the group, who were at a bus stop in the Alsergrund district. They threatened the boys, aged between ten and 15, with a butterfly knife. They robbed a 14-year-old Austrian of his cell phone, Bluetooth headphones and clothing.
The two attackers beat up a 15-year-old boy. He was injured and taken to hospital.
Still under the age of criminal responsibility at twelve
The two suspects were apprehended a short time later by police officers near the bus stop. The 14-year-old was arrested and his accomplice was released. However, as he is twelve years old and not yet of legal age, he will not face any criminal charges.
The two boys had thrown away the butterfly knife. Police dogs were able to track it down during a search operation.
