Tyrol: Sun deck once again targeted by vandals

The sun deck in Innsbruck caused heated tempers not only during the election campaign that is coming to an end, but also long before. On Friday, someone apparently wanted to reclaim the popular meeting place for students, as photos leaked to the "Krone" show.

It is still unclear who is behind the act of vandalism. The press office of the Tyrolean police did not have any information on the case when asked by the "Krone". As the photos show, someone apparently threw several barriers into the Inn. Some onlookers immediately grabbed their cell phones and took photos of the "liberated" sun deck.

Police and fire department in action
Police officers and members of the fire department were on site. As reported, the sun deck has been closed since March of last year. The reason for this was an act of vandalism. Since then, the future of the popular meeting place for students has been the subject of political debate.

For safety reasons, sitting on the wall is prohibited.
