Dubious real estate deal: expert is in custody
A bombshell in the case surrounding a suspicious real estate deal in Pasching. An expert involved in the case has been remanded in custody. A lawyer and a notary are still under investigation for serious fraud.
The expert - a very well-known psychiatrist according to information from "Krone" - is accused by the public prosecutor's office in Wels of providing expert opinions for the lawyer and the notary in connection with a real estate deal in Pasching. Unusual: the man has now been remanded in custody due to the risk of blacking out and the risk of committing a crime.
Property in Pasching
This is what it's all about: After years of legal disputes within the family over an agricultural property, a woman suffering from dementia is said to have transferred the property to her nephew in 2023 - something she had strictly refused to do until then.
This is said to have been made possible by contracts and expert opinions from the people now accused. The damages are said to amount to up to five million euros.
Similar case at Lake Traunsee
The case is reminiscent of a similar one on Lake Traunsee, in which a pension on the lake was bought from a woman suffering from dementia for 750,000 euros. However, according to an expert opinion, the property is worth around 1.6 million euros. The lawyer, the notary and the expert were also involved in this case. They and three other people have been charged and are awaiting trial.
