Drunk: Tyrolean crashes his car into a stone wall
Someone must have been too drunk: A drunk 51-year-old lost control of his car late on Thursday evening in the Pitztal valley in Tyrol and crashed into a stone wall with full force. The driver suffered injuries and witnesses raised the alarm.
The accident happened shortly before 11 pm. The local man was driving his car in the municipality of Arzl im Pitztal when he lost control of his car. The car then veered off the left-hand edge of the road and crashed with full force into a stone wall.
Rescue to hospital
The 51-year-old driver was injured. Passers-by immediately set the rescue chain in motion. After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, the injured man was taken to Zams Hospital by ambulance.
The vehicle was totaled.

"The 51-year-old was found to be heavily intoxicated. The vehicle was totaled," said the investigators. Corresponding charges will follow.
