Turmoil at Jäger Battalion 24: Internal investigation!

Excitement in the army in East Tyrol: serious allegations have been made against the commander of Jäger Battalion 24. He is being targeted by the army authorities - and not for the first time.

Not everything always runs smoothly within the army either. This is shown by a recent case in East Tyrol. Specifically, it concerns Hochgebirgs-Jägerbataillon 24. According to information from "Krone", the battalion commander in particular is facing serious allegations.

Commander had to vacate his post
The internal army authorities are said to have already begun investigating the case. According to informants, the commander has had to vacate his post for the time being. There are even rumors behind closed doors that a complaint to the public prosecutor's office in Innsbruck is imminent.

Brisant: "This is not the first time that this battalion commander has been the focus of internal and external investigators. Three years ago, the public prosecutor's office in Innsbruck already had him in their sights because he had an altercation with a guard soldier. But the investigation was dropped, the case was dropped and a disciplinary assessment was made," report several informants independently of each other. Within military circles, the commander in question was regarded as a "difficult personality".

It is not only these investigations that are currently throwing the spotlight on Jäger Battalion 24, but also its invitation to the Lienz Tradition Day - because of a controversial drawing depicted on it: a gray soldier who reminds many of the Nazi era.
