Bloody deed in Germany
Doctor killed: Revenge for a psychiatric report?
Dr. Rainer G., the German doctor who was stabbed to death by a former patient on Monday evening, was considered a respected psychiatrist. In court, he repeatedly judged criminals - just as he was now facing one himself. Whether the motive was revenge for a psychiatric report is now being investigated.
According to information from the "Bild" newspaper, the attacker was treated by Dr. Rainer G. more than ten years ago. The doctor is said to have drawn up a psychiatric report. The Rosenheim criminal investigation department is now investigating why the bloody attack took place so many years later and whether it could have been an act of revenge.
Fatal attack with a kitchen knife
In any case, it is certain that Dominik S. attacked the doctor with a kitchen knife. He is believed to have deliberately ambushed the doctor and attacked him immediately after closing time on the hospital grounds in Wasserburg. While first aiders were still trying to save the psychiatrist, Dominik S. was arrested by a police patrol that happened to be present.
Attacker not known to the police
The 40-year-old had never been reported to the police before and did not put up any resistance during the arrest. Dominik S. was admitted to a psychiatric clinic in Lower Bavaria.
