Father and son (6) injured in motorcycle accident
A serious traffic accident occurred in Puchkirchen on Monday afternoon: a car driver misinterpreted the hand signal of a motorcyclist, resulting in a collision. The father and son on the sidecar motorcycle suffered injuries, the father was seriously injured and taken to hospital.
A serious misunderstanding! A 38-year-old man from Puchkirchen was traveling with his six-year-old son on a sidecar motorcycle in the direction of Ampflwang. At a junction, he indicated by hand signal that he wanted to turn left.
However, a following car driver from Taiskirchen (41) interpreted the hand signal as an invitation to overtake and wanted to pass the car and trailer on the left. At the same time, the motorcyclist turned left and the two vehicles collided.
The 38-year-old father was seriously injured and came to rest a few meters away. He was taken to Vöcklabruck Hospital after receiving emergency first aid. The six-year-old son suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Vöcklabruck hospital. The driver of the car was uninjured but suffered a shock.
