Pain! Vonn had to go under the knife again
Lindsey Vonn had to go under the knife once again. As the former ski queen revealed on social media, she received an artificial knee joint.
"The operation went well - and I'll keep you updated with more details soon," writes Lindsey Vonn on her latest Instagram post. The video shows the US American on her way to the operating theater.
"Bone on bone in my right knee. I've had operations every twelve to 14 months so that I can continue to function. I have to find a better, long-term solution," the four-time overall World Cup winner revealed in a recent interview with the German magazine "Sportbild". She will "never be pain-free again", said Vonn.
Svindal: "I need to know more about it"
However, the 39-year-old now wants to get the pain under control as well as possible with the new procedure. "Good recovery. I need to know more about it," says former ski star Aksel Lund Svindal about Vonn. Tennis legend Billie Jean King, actress Reese Witherspoon and many more also responded to the former speed queen's post.
