Everything is clean, everything is nice in Walt Disney's Wonder City - but then the idyll crumbles brutally: fierce applause for the world premiere of Felix Krakau's play "Celebration" with great actors from the drama studio at the Linz Landestheater.

For his play "Celebration (Florida)", which premiered in the studio stage of the Linz Landestheater, Hamburg author Felix Krakau took a real-life small town founded by the Walt Disney Company as his starting point.

Stella Lennert created an ironic setting with stage design and costumes that pays tribute to Disney and his world of characters. Happiness is celebrated here until a massacre casts a shadow.

But even a murder can hardly shake the town manager, played by Vivian Micksch, in her belief in happiness. A young couple known as the Celebrats, played brilliantly by Hubert Chojniak and Alexandra Diana Nedel, have more doubts. The rebellion only grows among three young people who are not living in the supposed idyll by choice. Kevin Bianco (very versatile!), Jonas Hämmerle and Dana Koganova have to slip into several roles.

Young actors inspire
Director Mechthild Harnischmacher ensures a lively performance with witty and expressive details. A performance in cooperation with the Bruckner University that entertains and raises questions about the future. Well-deserved applause from the enthusiastic audience.
