After accident: Bora pro Kämna in stable condition
German professional cyclist Lennard Kämna is in hospital with multiple injuries after a serious training accident on Tenerife. There is no danger to life.
"Lennard Kämna is in a stable condition. He is awake, responsive and able to communicate.
He suffered numerous injuries in the accident," the Bora-Hansgrohe team announced the day after the accident, without giving any further details of the injuries.
Preparing for the Giro d'Italia
Kämna, who has already won stages in the three grand tours Tour de France, Giro d'Italia and Vuelta, was preparing for his planned start in the Giro d'Italia at a training camp.
The team-mate of Marco Haller and others was riding with his training group when, according to Bora-Hansgrohe, an oncoming car turning left collided with him.
