1.69 billion euros
Rauch Fruchtsäfte increases turnover by ten percent
The Vorarlberg fruit juice and iced tea producer Rauch has set a record: turnover has never been as high as last year.
The Vorarlberg fruit juice producer Rauch, based in Rankweil (Feldkirch district), recorded a new record turnover of 1.69 billion euros in 2023 (2022: 1.54 billion). This represents an increase of around ten percent compared to the previous year. Rauch also reported a new high in the number of employees worldwide on Wednesday with 2726, and is looking to recruit more staff.
In Austria, Rauch employs 1059 people. In Vorarlberg, the company is one of the largest employers. "We currently have more than fifty vacancies," said Managing Director Jürgen Rauch.
In its home market of Austria, Rauch Fruchtsäfte has further expanded its market leadership in fruit juices and iced tea in 2023. The aim is to sell more organic products in the food service sector.
Plant disease
Like many companies, the Rankweiler fruit juice producer had to contend with sometimes extreme increases in the cost of fruit and raw materials last year. The cost of orange juice, for example, has increased fivefold in recent years. This was due to hurricanes in Florida and a plant disease in Brazil.
15 plants in operation
Rauch Fruchtsäfte was founded in Rankweil in 1919 and now operates 15 plants and seven branches. The business segments are branded products, contract bottling and fruit processing.
