“Not our DNA”! Tuchel annoyance with Bayern bosses

In Munich, the house blessing continues to hang askew and the Bayern managers have a new reason to be annoyed. The bone of contention this time are the words of coach Thomas Tuchel after the humiliation against Dortmund. 

Following the 2-0 home defeat against BVB on Saturday, Tuchel made some remarkable statements on camera. The Bayern coach congratulated Bayer Leverkusen on winning their first championship. However, this has not yet been officially sealed.

The words have therefore caused displeasure among many of the record champions' managers. Not because they still believe in the title on the Isar, but because "it is not in Bayern's DNA to roll out the red carpet early", according to reports from within the record champions' circle, as reported by "Sport Bild". 

Müller leads by example
The record champions' self-image is expressed more in Thomas Müller's analysis after the defeat against BVB: "We'll congratulate when the time comes". That's the kind of statement you want to hear from the boardroom, but Tuchel has often failed to live up to this line. As a result, he has repeatedly caused irritation. 

His statements after the defeat against Werder Bremen in January were particularly controversial. At the time, the 50-year-old publicly declared: "I don't feel like saying that we train well anymore - because nobody believes you anymore." Words that sent shockwaves through the management team. As a result of the recent seemingly despondent communication with the outside world, it even seems possible that Tuchel could be dismissed in a flash.
