Police officers attacked after argument with ex-girlfriend

The police had to be called out several times on Tuesday in Klagenfurt because of a 28-year-old man who, among other things, went on the rampage at the door of his ex-girlfriend's apartment. 

At around 2.25 p.m., the man from Klagenfurt and his ex-girlfriend got into an argument, with the 28-year-old also banging on the woman's front door to get into her apartment. 

After this was not granted to him and it was not the first police operation that day because of the man, he left the scene before the officers arrived. "However, the 28-year-old was found in the vicinity and an attempt was made to have a clarifying conversation with him," said the police. 

However, the man from Klagenfurt became increasingly aggressive towards the police officers, shouted at them and eventually even approached them in a fighting stance, which is why he was arrested.

"Despite being handcuffed, the 28-year-old did not calm down and tried to spit at the officers and drop to the floor of the police car," the provincial police directorate reported.

The man from Klagenfurt was taken to the police detention center and will be charged.
