Chats with Strache
ORF investigates: “Fit mit Philipp” must take a break
After chats emerged about how the FPÖ wanted to color the ORF blue, there are now consequences: The program "Fit mit Philipp" by Heinz-Christian Strache's fitness guru Philipp Jelinek has to take a break this week. For the time being, only reruns will be broadcast.
Jelinek is taking a vacation this week, as confirmed by ORF. But not only "Fit mit Philipp" has to take a break, an announced appearance by Jelinek with Barbara Stöckl has also been canceled.
Vorturner Philipp Jelinek is said to have spied on ORF internals in return for being given his own program.
Jelinek had become known to a wider audience during the coronavirus pandemic through his show on ORF.
Explosive chats surfaced shortly before Easter
Shortly before Easter, chat logs surfaced that are said to prove how the FPÖ leadership, including Harald Vilimsky and Norbert Steger in addition to Strache, wanted to set the course at ORF in 2019.
A list of names inside and outside the ORF who have been identified as blue confidants of the FPÖ seats are being traded in the chats as candidates for top positions. However, the WhatsApp messages also reveal embarrassing ingratiation on the part of some former members of the ORF management.
