"More important than anything"
Fanning: “Always felt the urge” to have children
Dakota Fanning (30) has been working successfully as an actress and model for years. But another task is more important to her: she wants to start a family.
Child or career? Dakota Fanning has obviously been asking herself this question for some time. The actress revealed that it is her great wish to start a family. She would even give up her career to do so.
Having children is "more important to her than anything else"
According to US actress Dakota Fanning, she clearly sees herself as a mother one day. "Having children is probably more important to me than anything else, even acting," the 30-year-old told the fashion platform "net-a-porter.com".
"If someone told me I had to choose, I would want to have children. I'm one of those people who have always felt that urge."
Fanning seizes the chance to experience adventure
Acting has always been a big part of her identity, emphasized Fanning, who had already played alongside Sean Penn in "I Am Sam" (2001) and alongside Tom Cruise in "War of the Worlds" (2005) as a child.
"But I also have the desire to shape my life and my career in such a way that I always have a choice," she said. So far, she doesn't know how much she wants to work when she becomes a mother. As this is not yet the case, she is still taking the opportunity to experience adventures.
From April 4, Fanning can be seen in the new Netflix series "Ripley". Like the 1999 Matt Damon film, the thriller series is based on the novel "The Talented Mr. Ripley" by Patricia Highsmith.
