Airline passenger physically assaulted crew member
A captain of the airline Swiss aborted the flight to Zurich on Sunday because of an unruly passenger. The man is said to have physically assaulted crew members.
According to a Swiss spokeswoman, the passenger became abusive towards crew members shortly after the Airbus plane took off. The plane then turned back because of the unruly man on board.
One crew member was injured in the incident. He was taken to hospital for investigations.
Taken away by the police in Newark
The man was reportedly taken away by the police in Newark. The company spokeswoman did not give the reason for the outburst. The flight was subsequently canceled.
There were 236 passengers and 13 crew members on board flight LX19. The passengers concerned were to be taken to Zurich on the next possible flight.
