Olympic champion Mol out injured until mid-May

Norwegian beach volleyball Olympic champion Anders Mol will be out for several weeks due to a leg injury four months before the Summer Games in Paris! 

The 26-year-old partner of Christian Sörum suffered a fracture in his lower leg during training in Tenerife this week and underwent surgery in Salzburg. He was fitted with a splint. As Mol told the Norwegian broadcaster NRK, he will have to take a break for at least six weeks.

In addition to Olympic gold in Tokyo in 2021, Mol/Sörum have also won the title at the 2022 World Championships and four European Championships since 2018. They have also won numerous major World Tour tournaments.
