In Lafnitz
Bregenz is ready for the next step
The provincial capital came out of the international break stronger than before. And the Black & Whites now want to score again in Lafnitz. Markus Mader and his team traveled a long way to get there - over twelve hours on the bus.
Yesterday's journey from Bregenz to Lafnitz took over twelve hours, with roadworks and traffic making the already long bus journey even longer. Tiring, but that's part of the game for coach Markus Mader. The Black & Whites are looking forward to today's clash with the Styrians, but the coach is expecting a tough opponent. "They've had good results recently, they drew 1-1 at GAK," says Mader, "a well-organized team with strong individual players."
They were able to prepare well, the test match on Tuesday against Swiss Superliga side St. Gallen was very positive. The squad is almost complete, with only Florian Prirsch and captain Ivo kralj missing against Lafnitz through injury.
More ideas needed
And in Styria, the Bregenz team have set their sights high. "We were too harmless in our phases of possession in the derby against Dornbirn, so we need more ideas. Maybe we can take the next small step today," says Mader.
