Van Ee makes a big impression

The rising star has become a guarantor of success

KAC youngster Finn van Ee has earned himself a regular spot this season. In the play-offs so far, he has shown great promise, helping to decide three games. Whether they meet Bolzano or Salzburg in the final doesn't matter to him.

Bitten through! At the start of the season, KAC center Finn van Ee was still suffering from the after-effects of a broken hand from the previous season. The first weekend he even played in the AHL, then he was longer the 13th forward in the first team. From the end of October, the young center, who is best buddies with young star Marco Kasper, slipped into the team - and never gave up his spot. "The coach gave me the confidence, I'm so grateful to him."

The talent made his real breakthrough with a goal in Villach. He scored the 1:1 in the 4:2 win. "That gave me a lot of confidence, I was so motivated afterwards."

Five goals and eleven assists
The 21-year-old currently has five goals and eleven assists. He scored three times in the play-offs - all hugely important goals. He scored once against Vorarlberg to secure a 1:0 win, then produced the "game-winner" once against Vorarlberg (5:1) and once against Pustertal (5:3). "I'm really happy to be playing. Scoring a goal is an indescribable feeling. Also because I can help the team."

Now KAC is waiting for its opponent in the final - today Bolzano could take the decisive step with a win. "Quite honestly. It doesn't matter who we play. Both are extremely strong and similar. Both are strong players, very robust and both have a top goalie."
