Salted prices: Municipality finds the right answer

In the tourist stronghold of Hallstatt, preparations are not only underway for the onslaught of guests. The municipality also wants to accommodate its own population. The purchase of food and other everyday products is to become significantly cheaper. The plans are already being implemented.

Don't go away, buy in town! Many Hallstatt residents would love to follow this slogan. But in the only supermarket in the tourist stronghold in Upper Austria, the prices are consistently low and the range of products is adapted to the visitors. The nearest affordable supermarket is in Bad Goisern, ten kilometers away.
