310 kilometers
On foot through the country with your cell phone in your luggage
Filmmaker Kristina Schranz hiked the Bernstein Trail for 20 days. The result: the first cell phone film for ORF. The film "Unterwegs" will be available from mid-April.
Kristina Schranz set off on her journey along the Bernstein Trail with just the bare essentials. Her most important utensil: her cell phone. The filmmaker from Oberwart used it to shoot her first film "On the road on the Bernstein Trail", which was shot exclusively with her cell phone.
Almost a month on the road
The 32-year-old spent 20 days on the historical paths of the so-called old Amber Trail, which runs 310 kilometers from Carnuntum to St. Martin an der Raab. Schranz had the idea for her extraordinary journey a few months ago. "I wanted to do something alone in nature and that's when I came across the Amber Trail," says Schranz in her plea for traveling on your doorstep.

"Finding each other again"
In her film, she wants to convey that it is worth approaching people and discovering new things. "I want to express positivity and it's also very much about togetherness. People need to find each other again, especially at a time like now," says Schranz.
Sunshine and a lot of heart
What she also discovered on her trip: That Burgenland is not just made up of freight roads, smiles the Oberwart native. "I experienced a sunrise on Lake Neusiedl that was almost unbeatable in terms of beauty." Especially the warmth of the people Schranz met on her journey.
